Be a Traveller, not a Tourist →
Gourmet Trails® tours are priced without hidden charges. Our prices are family-friendly too, you almost always pay less for your little ones because we return savings from children fares. The payment schedule is also structured in a way that is simple and easy:
❖ Deposit: This is a non-refundable $500 deposit (per tour) and will contribute towards your final tour payment.
❖ 50% tour payment: When your private tour quotation is ready, take some time to review details such as the tour pricing, daily itinerary, accommodation and other tour inclusives. Your dedicated Travel Designer will be available for any questions that you may have. We require 50% payment to confirm the tour.
❖ Final tour payment: We provide a Travel Kit app that clients can access before, during and after the tour. The balance payment is due when you receive your Travel Kit.
Flight, Rail and Cruise bookings will be processed according to the respective third party’s terms and conditions.
Although not as exciting as reading about faraway destinations, please take the time to review and understand our Terms & Conditions prior to booking a tour with us. IMPORTANT: Paying a tour deposit, or any other payment to us, signifies your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
If you book a tour on behalf of other travellers, you confirm that you have the authority to accept and do accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all other travellers in your party. You are deemed to be the designated contact person for every traveller included on the booking, notifying us of any changes/cancellations as well as keeping your party informed. You are responsible for all payments due to us.
Every traveller needs to ensure that they are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months after your last day of travel. For certain destinations, we may assist a traveller to submit a visa application but do not guarantee the outcome.
It is a condition of booking that all travellers have or arrange comprehensive travel insurance coverage as soon as tour dates are confirmed (purchasing travel insurance late may limit pre-trip benefits coverage such as trip cancellations/postponement). It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance coverage is suitable and adequate for your needs.
You will not be entitled to any compensation or refund from us, either in full or in part, except as provided for in these Terms & Conditions.
Deposit payment: This is a non-refundable deposit to kickstart travel planning, and will contribute towards your final tour payment.
Tour payment(s): Please refer to your tour quotation/invoices for details such as your tour inclusives, price validity and payment schedule.
Full payment is due 45 days before the tour start date or upon receipt of your Travelkit, whichever is earlier. If we do not receive full payment according to the aforementioned, the Company reserves the right to consider that you have cancelled the tour.
Itinerary details may be adjusted per customer’s request before tour departure. For change(s) that result in additional costs, we will inform you of the top–up amount and the customer will have the right to choose whether or not to proceed with the change(s).
If you cancel the tour, for any reason, all payments are non-refundable. If you have purchased travel insurance through us, we provide complimentary assistance to handle the insurance claims on your behalf where applicable. If you did not purchase travel insurance through us, the Company will issue an official letter regarding the tour cancellation.
We reserve the right to alter the tour itinerary in case of unforeseen cancellations, changes or delays by third party providers. We may replace an omitted tour inclusive with a reasonable alternative or issue a partial refund that will be made out to you after the tour ends. Value of this partial refund will be determined by us.
We will not cancel a tour unless because of Force Majeure.
“Force Majeure” means any circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including, but not limited to, war or threat of war, riots, sabotage, civil strike, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, accident, adverse weather conditions, sickness, quarantine, border closures or government intervention). The Company will not be liable for any refund or compensation if it is forced to cancel or change a tour due to Force Majeure.
You acknowledge that the nature of travel involves a significant amount of inherent personal risks. These include injury, sickness, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. Please ensure that all travellers are physically fit enough to travel, have adequate protective clothing and take sensible precautions for their own safety and for the safety of any children for whom they are responsible.
The Company, employees and directors are not and cannot become liable or responsible for any loss, injury, damage, inconvenience or discomfort during or because of the tour.
The Company reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions.
