Day 1-2: Cairo city and dine like a local foodie!

Meet & greet at the airport before immigration. Our coordinator will assist with arrival procedures.

Then head into the capital city of Egypt. Take in Cairo’s rhythms and its islamic heritage. Get acquainted with Egyptian cuisine and dine like a local foodie! Enjoy a leisurely evening at the riverside promenade.

Day 3: Sphinx & Great Pyramids of Giza

History comes alive with an expert Egyptologist by your side. A private VIP buggy is arranged to skip queues for the shuttle between sites. Lunch at a handpicked venue with views of the pyramid.

SPECIAL: Take a pause from history at a beautiful textile arts gallery.

Then end the day at the new Grand Egyptian Museum with King Tut’s treasures displayed in its entirety for the first time!

Day 4-5: Fly into Aswan. Day trip to spectacular Abu Simbel via desert highway

Direct flight to Aswan. This region produces 27 varieties of dates, sample or buy some at the local bazaar. If it is of interest, we can swing by a perfumery for Egyptian essential oils. Thereafter check in to one of the best resorts in town and enjoy a free afternoon.

The next morning, take a drive on the desert highway to the one-of-a-kind rock cliff temples of Abu Simbel. Built during the time of Ramses II, one of the most powerful rulers of Ancient Egypt. Twice a year, the sun ray shines deep into the temple to illuminate the faces of statues inside.

Day 6-8: Legendary Nile on a luxury river cruise

Embark on a relaxing 3 nights luxury cruise along the Nile. In the winter months, lunches on the sun deck allows guests to admire passing desert landscape of papyrus reeds and farmlands along this ancient waterway.

There will be stops to visit ancient sites including: Edfu temple, Kom Ombo temple and the beautiful island Temple of Philae – all with an Egyptology private guide by your side.

Day 9-10: At your own pace, explore astounding archeological wonders of Luxor

The ship docks at Luxor, an important town near Ancient Egypt’s Valley of the King and Valley of the Queen. Enter the most magnificent tombs with additional access tickets, followed by the Temple of Hatshepsut that is considered an architectural masterpiece.

Discover the impressive Karnak Temple – the largest religious complex ever built. Finally complete your trip with a relaxing luxury stay along the Nile.

SPECIAL: Enter Luxor Temple after dark (just before sunset) for a truly different experience when the night illumination comes on.

Fly back to Cairo. Escorted transfer between terminals for your international flight home.

Best time to visit Egypt

The most comfortable months are Nov to Mar.

Winter months are cooler hence the best season to travel around Egypt. Daytimes are pleasantly warm (not too hot!) as you explore the magnificent sites. Evening temperatures drop to a pleasant cool where your shawl and light jacket come in handy.
